Lilian is Senior Lecturer in sustainability and social enterprise in the School of Organisations Economy and Society. She has built a coherent programme of research and knowledge exchange around labour regulation, gender and migration in Asian developing countries. She has investigated, in depth, how the reproductive health needs of women migrant workers in developing countries within Asia, particularly in Malaysia, can be met. Recently she has turned her attention to investigating the welfare challenges of low-waged and low-skilled migrant workers in the UK, and the extent to which participatory policy-making can address these needs.
