Call for papers: Westminster Development Studies Symposium

Globalisation – between achievements and the road to isolation

This workshop will provide a forum to explore the issues, challenges and responses to conflicting trends of greater interconnection and isolation, which are shaping the world economy. The aim of this forum is to bring together scholars from all fields related to development studies focusing on drivers and consequences of globalization or isolation. We welcome proposals in the following areas (but not limited to):
 
• Within and between country inequality
• Economic dualism
• Migration patterns
• Foreign Direct Investment
• Trade
• Environmental impact
 
We welcome scholars to submit paper proposals until March 15, 2019 by email to: s.masino@westminster.ac.uk
Submissions should be including a full academic paper or an extended abstract of the presentation, all names of the authors, their affiliations and contact details.
 
Authors of accepted papers will be notified by March 31, 2019.
 
There is no charge to attend the workshop. The workshop organizers will cover meals and refreshments. Participants will be required to pay for their own travel and accommodation. Further details will be included in the letter of acceptance.
