Asylum Seeker Decision Making – Grant Capture

The National Centre for Social Research together with the University of Westminster and the Busara Centre for Behavioural Economics attracted a large grant of £200,000 to investigate EU Asylum policies, migration trends and their linkages to the Integration Fund.

The project was titled “Asylum Seeker Decision Making” and took place between March 2022 to October 2022. Lilian Miles and Serena Masino were the team from the University of Westminster that worked on the project and their work encompassed a period of fieldwork among UK migration policy-makers and stakeholders.

The aim of the research was to generate theoretical and empirical insights that could inform and influence the UK’s policy-making strategy and approach towards asylum and migration policies in the country.
