Walaa Bakry is interested in transitioning economies, public economics, and the economics of education. He is currently the Director of Executive Education at Westminster Business School. He has more than 25 years of academic and research experience. He completed his Doctorate in Higher Education Management at the University of Bath.
He lectures on Project Finance, PPP and International Project Management. Walaa has given many guest lectures at Universities in Europe and the Middle East and carried out many consultancy projects in the public and the private sectors, particularly in the credit insurance sector.
He comments regularly on Alaraby TV about Middles East economic news and has appeared on BBC Arabic and BBC online.
Walaa is a member of the Royal Society of Economics, a chartered Fellow of the British Computer Society (FBCS) and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA).
