Thanks to everyone who came along to our evening discussion in the Regent Street Cinema last night where we explored different approaches to economic development across three transition economies: China, Poland and Uzbekistan.
It was wonderful to have the event opened by Bakhrom Mirkasimov, Rector of Westminster International University in Tashkent. We are indebted to our speakers for the evening: Begzod M. Djalilov, Asian Development Bank, Professor Tomasz Mickiewicz, Aston University and Professor Markus Taube, University of Duisburg Essen. It was also such a pleasure to have Dr Peter Bonfield, President and Vice Chancellor of the University of Westminster draw things to a close with some final remarks.
Jointly organised by the Westminster Development Policy Network and Westminster International University in Tashkent.
Special thanks to the cinema staff and Dr Erendira Leon-Bravo who were essential to the success of the evening.
